Bay Area Movers Insurance

No matter the size of the project, every move requires sufficient insurance to guard against unforeseen circumstances. Oz Moving & Storage maintains in excess of $5,000,000 of General Liability insurance in the Bay Area, as well as Disability and Worker's Compensation insurance coverage. Oz Moving & Storage also offers various options for customers that cover different shipment valuations. Contact your Bay Area Oz Moving Coordinator for details and application procedures for residential and commercial moving projects.

Residential Option #1: Standard Valuation

$ .30 (thirty cents) per pound per article valuation is provided by Oz Moving & Storage at no cost to the customer on local hourly rate moves. In the event of loss or damage, the total amount the customer will be entitled to recover is $ .30 per pound per item, irrespective of item’s value. Written Binding Estimates provide $.60 per pound per item valuation.

Residential Option #2: Additional Valuation

In order to be compensated the depreciated value for lost or damaged items, the customer must declare a lump sum value for the entire shipment and pay an additional charge ($.50 cents per $100 valuation) based upon the value of declaration of the entire shipment.

Residential Option #3: Full Replacement Value Insurance

This coverage is considered to be more comprehensive than valuation, and generally offers additional options (deductible levels, higher coverage, etc.) This option is somewhat more involved to initiate than the previous two options, thus it needs to be obtained prior to the actual move day.
