Considered one of the city’s main cultural and intellectual hubs, it has a bit of everything — restaurants, coffee shops, bars, nightlife, playgrounds, schools, green spaces, museums, and even a few dinosaurs. Being slightly quieter and less crowded than some other parts of Manhattan, it’s also a stone’s throw away from everything else the city has to offer. In other words, it’s a great place to live. Neighborhood points of interest

The world-famous Central Park is literally your backyard, and it’s a great escape from the hustle and bustle of the concrete jungle. While there, stop by the Strawberry Fields Memorial to John Lennon (and its “Imagine” mosaic) at the W 72d Street entrance.

-For more nature, take a stroll along the beautiful tree-lined Riverside Park.

-Head up to the world-renowned Columbia University, explore its elegant grounds, and check out the surrounding area’s vibrant student nightlife too.

The somewhat lesser-known West Side Community Garden hosts an annual tulip festival where 15,000 tulips blossom every spring.
